Dr Chou qualified from Dundee University in 1985 and worked as a GP principle from 1989-2000. Since 1986, he has been a part-time Trust Surgeon in Plastic Surgery at the University Hospital of North Durham. He also works part-time as a Primary Care surgeon for the Darlington and County Durham Primary Care Trust and sits on the committee of the Primary Care Dermatology Society.

Dr Chou is actively involved in tutoring GPs and junior doctors on the fundamentals of Plastic Surgery and he is involved with local and national GP and surgical speciality training courses. He is a Faculty member of the Core Surgical Skills Course, the Royal College of Surgeons’ Intermediate Flap Course held annually at Durham, and organizes the annual North East Flap Course at Newcastle University Medical School.

Mr Collin is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the University Hospital of North Durham. His specialist interest is Breast Reconstruction and Skin Cancer and he regularly attends the Specialist Skin MDT in Durham. Teaching and training form an integral part of his role; he is an educational and clinical supervisor and he has taught on several surgical courses previously.

Ian is a specialty registrar in Plastic Surgery on the PanThames London Rotation and has trained at famous Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead and Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. Having obtained degrees from the Universities of Oxford and Newcastle, Ian's surgical training allowed him to work across the North East of England, including Newcastle, Sunderland, North Tees, Hartlepool and Middlesborough. He enjoys teaching, recently as an Anatomy Demonstrator for Newcastle University and currently training medical undergraduates and junior doctors in classroom and clinical settings. He is also a faculty member of the Emergency Management of Severe Burns Course.
